Heraklion, Crete's capital, is a great family destination with a good balance of history and accessibility. The waterfront, modern areas, and beach resorts are excellent for strollers, while the historic center has some narrow streets but is largely manageable. Greek island culture is incredibly family-oriented - children are welcome everywhere, even late at night.
