One of the world's most densely populated cities - stroller use is essentially impossible in most areas.
Planning your trip?
Dhaka is one of the most challenging cities in the world for stroller use. With extreme population density, virtually no usable sidewalks, apocalyptic traffic, and monsoon flooding, a baby carrier is the only realistic option. The city is flat (delta terrain), but every other factor works against wheels. That said, Bangladeshis are among the warmest, most child-loving people anywhere - you'll never lack for help or friendly faces. Gulshan and Banani offer slightly better conditions.
Seven things that actually matter when you're pushing 12kg of baby + stroller through a foreign city.
