Angola · Updated May 2026
Luanda's developing infrastructure makes stroller use extremely difficult outside of hotels and malls.
Planning your trip?
Luanda is one of the world's most expensive cities with rapidly developing but still challenging infrastructure. The Marginal waterfront promenade has been renovated and offers a decent stroller experience, but most of the city lacks basic sidewalks. Traffic is legendarily bad, public transit barely exists, and most amenities visitors need are within hotel compounds or the few modern malls. Angolans are friendly but facilities are minimal. A carrier is essential for getting around.
Seven things that actually matter when you're pushing 12kg of baby + stroller through a foreign city.
