Intramuros Walking Tour
The walled Spanish colonial city — Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, and San Agustin Church. Bamboo bikes available.
Philippines · Updated May 2026
Manila's chaotic streets and broken sidewalks are tough, but Filipinos' love for children is unmatched.
Planning your trip?
Manila is challenging for strollers in most scenarios. Sidewalks are frequently broken, blocked, or simply don't exist. Traffic is gridlocked, making travel between areas slow. However, the massive malls (SM Mall of Asia, Greenbelt, Bonifacio Global City) are excellent stroller territories with full facilities. BGC (Bonifacio Global City) is Manila's most walkable area with maintained sidewalks and parks. Filipinos are perhaps the world's most child-loving people - your baby will be a celebrity.
Seven things that actually matter when you're pushing 12kg of baby + stroller through a foreign city.

Where to stay
Manila's most modern, walkable district. Clean streets, parks, international restaurants. Mind Museum is here.
Business district with excellent malls, restaurants, and nightlife. Greenbelt area is very family-friendly.
Near Mall of Asia and Ocean Park. Sunset views over the bay. More affordable than BGC/Makati.
BGC is the clear winner for families — feels like a different city. Makati's Greenbelt area is also excellent. Don't walk between districts; use Grab.
Beyond the city
Highland town with stunning views of Taal Volcano in a lake. Cool breezes, bulalo soup, and fruit stands.
WWII island fortress in Manila Bay. Guided tours through tunnels, ruins, and memorials. Ferry from Mall of Asia.
Tagaytay is the easiest escape — cooler weather and incredible views. Leave early to beat expressway traffic. Corregidor is better for kids 6+.
Not really — Manila scores 47/100, and a baby carrier will save your sanity. Manila's chaotic streets and broken sidewalks are tough, but Filipinos' love for children is unmatched.
