Saint Lucia is one of the Caribbean's most dramatic islands - the Pitons are iconic. Vieux Fort is the southern tip near the main airport. The island is very mountainous, which creates major stroller challenges. Resorts (Sandals, Sugar Beach, Coconut Bay) provide excellent family environments with flat, maintained grounds. Outside resorts, roads are narrow and winding with no sidewalks. Rodney Bay in the north has the best general infrastructure. St. Lucians are warm and love children. This is a resort-based family destination - don't expect urban strollability.
