Hong Kong is a city of contrasts for stroller parents. The MTR is world-class, modern, and fully accessible. Malls are everywhere and well-equipped. But the city is built on steep hillsides, sidewalks are narrow and packed, and space is at a premium everywhere. Hong Kong Island's Mid-Levels escalators help with hills but aren't stroller-friendly. Kowloon waterfront and the New Territories offer flatter terrain. The city can feel overwhelming but has excellent family facilities inside buildings.
