Krakow is a beautiful medieval city that's mostly flat - the challenge is the cobblestones in the Old Town and Kazimierz district. Once you get beyond the historic center, sidewalks improve significantly. The tram system is decent with low-floor vehicles on main routes. Krakow is very affordable compared to Western Europe, and Polish people warm up quickly and are helpful with families. Planty Park ringing the Old Town provides a green, mostly flat strolling circuit.

💡 Tip: Krakow's Old Town cobblestones are relentless, but the Planty Park ring around the old town has flat, smooth paths — use it as your stroller highway. The Main Market Square (Rynek) is one of Europe's largest and has a huge playground on the east side. Kazimierz (the old Jewish quarter) is flatter and more stroller-friendly than the main old town.
